Software Engineer II (DevOps)

About the role

MasterCard is seeking a Software Engineer II (DevOps) to join its innovative technology center in Pune. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, testing, documenting, and delivering high-quality systems application software.

Responsibilities

• Software Development & Support: Take charge of programming, testing, implementing, and supporting systems application software in compliance with MasterCard standards.
• Solution Design: Develop secure, scalable, and high-quality software solutions based on strict technical requirements and design artifacts.
• Technical Evaluation: Actively research, create, and evaluate alternative technical solutions to address evolving business needs.
• Documentation & Auditing: Create detailed systems and testing documentation, adhering to department standards and Audit Requirements.
• Quality Control: Strictly follow MasterCard’s Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes while supporting the collection of project metrics.
• Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement opportunities to enhance technical standards and improve operational process efficiency.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc).
• Overall career experience of 2 to 3 years in Development or DevOps environments.
• Programming Proficiency: Strong programming abilities in one or more modern languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
• DevOps Expertise: Solid knowledge of CI/CD concepts and DevOps principles, with practical exposure to tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Git, shell scripting, and Zabbix.
