Graduate Engineer Trainee (SecOps)

About the role

Marmon Technologies is hiring fresh B.E/B.Tech graduates for an entry‑level Security Operations (SecOps) position in Bangalore. As a Graduate Engineer Trainee you will assist the SOC team with monitoring alerts, analysing logs, responding to incidents and supporting vulnerability management, gaining hands‑on exposure to core cybersecurity tools and processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and incidents using SIEM platforms and related security tools.
• Assist in investigating and responding to malware infections, unauthorized access attempts and data breach scenarios.
• Analyse system and network logs to spot suspicious activity and document findings.
• Support vulnerability scanning, assessment and remediation coordination.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, actions taken and recommendations for improvement.
• Help drive security‑awareness initiatives and communicate best practices across the organization.

Eligibility

• B.E or B.Tech degree in any engineering discipline.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience in security operations, IT, or related internships/co‑op projects.
• Basic understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

Skills

• Familiarity with SIEM systems.
• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS and antivirus solutions.
• Experience with log analysis and monitoring tools.
• Understanding of common security threats, vulnerabilities and the OWASP Top 10.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
