Lead Platform Engineer

About the role

Lighthouse is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to head its Frontend Platform team. You will own the design system and developer tooling, steer the migration from Ember to React, and create AI‑assisted utilities that shape the future of the company’s frontend foundation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers.
• Drive the transition of legacy Ember codebases to modern React architecture.
• Design, build, and maintain a scalable design system used across all products.
• Develop internal tooling that enhances developer productivity, incorporating AI features where applicable.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional squads to ensure seamless integration of the platform components.

• Strong background in building and maintaining design systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large‑scale migrations and tooling projects.
