IBM Intern – Associate Engineer (2026)

About the role

IBM is offering a 2026 internship for the Associate Engineer track, based in Bangalore. The program targets engineering students who will graduate by May 2027 and provides exposure to IBM’s diverse business units, including IT services, consulting, infrastructure and AI.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a screening and assessment process for potential roles across IBM business units.
• Assist teams in basic project tasks such as data entry, documentation, and report preparation.
• Apply theoretical knowledge from coursework to practical problem‑solving scenarios.
• Collaborate with peers and mentors, communicating progress and findings clearly.
• Support simple data analysis or visualisation activities as required.
• Adapt to hybrid work arrangements, attending on‑site sessions in Bangalore and remote activities.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing B.E., B.Tech, M.E. or M.Tech.
• Specialisation in Computer Science or Electrical & Electronics engineering.
• Expected graduation by May 2027 (2027 batch).
• Minimum academic standing of 6 CGPA or 60 % aggregate.
• Freshers or students with up to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model at the Bangalore office.
