Embedded C/C++ Engineer

About the role

HCLTech is hiring fresh engineering graduates for an Embedded C/C++ Engineer position in Chennai and Bangalore. The role focuses on developing, testing, and debugging firmware for automotive embedded systems, working with microcontrollers, communication protocols and basic RTOS concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software modules and firmware.
• Debug and troubleshoot embedded applications and resolve system‑level issues.
• Test and enhance firmware functionality, ensuring reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams and participate in technical reviews.
• Support troubleshooting activities and follow best practices for embedded development.

Eligibility

• 6 months to 2 years of relevant embedded systems experience.
• B.E. or B.Tech degree in ECE, EEE, E&I or a related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Basic knowledge of real‑time operating systems.
• Experience or exposure to the automotive domain is required.

Skills

• Embedded C and C++ programming.
• Understanding of microcontrollers and microprocessors.
• Familiarity with UART, SPI, I2C and CAN communication protocols.
• Basic RTOS concepts such as tasks, scheduling and synchronization.
• Debugging and firmware testing techniques.
• Automotive embedded systems knowledge.
