Senior Software Engineer (Frontend)

About the role

Happy Money seeks a senior frontend engineer to design, develop, and own consumer‑facing lending web applications on its Hive platform. The position is fully remote for U.S. candidates and emphasizes AI‑driven coding agents to accelerate feature delivery while maintaining high quality.

Responsibilities

• Architect, code, test and ship new and existing frontend features that deliver a seamless borrowing experience.
• Drive the full software development lifecycle, from specification to production deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to craft optimal solutions.
• Introduce AI‑assisted coding agents and automated testing to improve engineering efficiency.
• Maintain scalable, fault‑tolerant, and high‑performance frontend systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a positive, inclusive team culture.

Eligibility

• 5+ years of experience building production‑grade React applications.
• Strong command of React hooks, component architecture, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS and GraphQL.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js and familiarity with Python, Java, and AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway).
• Proven track record of implementing automated frontend testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
• BA or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
