Software Engineer

About the role

Deltek is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Bangalore team on a hybrid basis. The role involves building and enhancing enterprise‑grade applications, APIs, and user interfaces while leveraging AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve enterprise software components across desktop, client/server, SaaS and cloud environments.
• Build and maintain robust APIs, backend services, databases and automation workflows.
• Apply AI‑assisted tools for planning, coding, testing, and code reviews.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and quality‑focused engineering practices.
• Collaborate with product, UX, QA and other engineering teams to translate customer needs into functional solutions.
• Continuously explore emerging AI‑driven capabilities and incorporate new technologies.

Eligibility

• 2‑4 years of professional experience with object‑oriented languages such as .NET, Java or JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases and design principles.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD, version control and automated testing.
• Exposure to Generative AI or AI‑assisted development tools.
• Growth mindset with eagerness to learn new frameworks and platforms.
