SDET Engineer 1

About the role

Comcast is inviting applications for the SDET Engineer 1 position at its facility in Chennai. This role presents an opportunity for freshers and early-career professionals to build, maintain, and execute automated test suites.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and optimize automated test code
• Maintain and structure automation test suites
• Analyze test execution logs and repair faulty automation scripts
• Execute automated test suites and evaluate technical results
• Collaborate with development engineers to align code architecture with product automation requirements

Eligibility

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• 0 to 2 years of experience
• Fundamental understanding of software engineering concepts, SDLC, and automated testing methodologies
• Hands-on exposure or familiarity with version control tools such as GIT or SVN

Skills

• Strong logical reasoning and ability to learn automated testing frameworks quickly
• Keen eye for finding bugs and system edge cases
• High level of accountability, self-motivation, and readiness to adapt to flexible schedules
