Associate Engineer

About the role

Collins Aerospace (an RTX Company) is inviting applications for the Associate Engineer position at its advanced facility in Bengaluru. This is a hybrid opportunity for engineering professionals with 1 to 3 years of experience to evaluate the structural integrity of next-generation aircraft components.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive calculations of loads, including static, fatigue, damage-tolerance, and vibration analysis on aircraft assemblies.
• Evaluate the structural integrity of components using both classical hand calculations and finite element methods.
• Draw Free Body Diagrams (FBDs) based on structural load paths, and generate applied, interface, and internal loads distributions.
• Prepare formal and informal documentation of strength check notes and revise existing stress reports utilizing MS Office products.

Eligibility

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in structural analysis.
• Proficient in solid mechanics, machine design, and a sound understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

Skills

• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal) to suggest solutions and handle aggressive project timelines.
• Desirable experience with analysis tools such as Hypermesh, Nastran, or Patran, alongside strong MS Office skills.
