About the role

Citi's 12‑month Young Apprentice program in Mumbai offers fresh graduates a chance to work within the Finance team, gaining hands‑on experience in Controllers and FP&A functions while receiving structured training and mentorship to build a solid foundation in corporate finance and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Assist Controllers with financial reporting, balance‑sheet reconciliations and regulatory compliance tasks.
• Support FP&A analysts in data collection, forecasting, and preparation of management reports.
• Perform data analysis using Excel to identify trends and support decision‑making.
• Contribute to process‑improvement and automation initiatives within the finance function.
• Prepare presentations and documentation for internal stakeholders using PowerPoint.
• Participate in the induction program and collaborate with cross‑functional teams across Citi.

Eligibility

• Recent graduate (CA or Bachelor's degree) from the 2025 or 2026 batch, no prior work experience required.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of corporate finance, accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Office applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts, relocate within India and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
