Transfer Pricing Analyst

About the role

Citi is hiring a Transfer Pricing Analyst for its Mumbai office. The role involves preparing comprehensive documentation for transfer pricing reports, analysing inter‑company transaction data, and supporting tax compliance across the organisation. You will work closely with tax, finance and business teams to ensure accurate reporting and timely resolution of queries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare end‑to‑end documentation for assigned transfer pricing reports and country responsibilities.
• Collect, consolidate and analyse data on intercompany transactions to support transfer pricing documentation.
• Conduct functional interviews with business stakeholders to understand complex transaction flows.
• Collaborate with tax, finance and business teams, and interact regularly with controllers to grasp the business model.
• Manage escalation of business queries and coordinate routine calls for clarifications.
• Assist with ad‑hoc tax transfer pricing assignments and related miscellaneous tasks.

Eligibility

• 0‑2 years of experience in direct or international taxation or transfer pricing (freshers welcomed).
• Graduates in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Detail‑oriented and deadline driven.
• Good interpersonal skills for stakeholder interaction.

Skills

• Advanced MS Word and intermediate MS Excel proficiency.
• Understanding of global transfer pricing regulations (OECD guidelines, BEPS action plans).
• Basic knowledge of financial products and services.
• Analytical mindset for data collection and interpretation.
• Effective interview and stakeholder management capabilities.
