Jr. Software Engineer

About the role

Cannon Design is seeking a Jr. Software Engineer to join its FOS products team. The role is based out of Mumbai and Pune, India.

Responsibilities

• Write, test, and debug clean, maintainable code for cloud-based SaaS applications
• Assist with routine application maintenance, bug resolutions, and small feature rollouts
• Learn and apply Git workflows, CI/CD automated deployment pipelines, and basic DevOps practices
• Participate in peer code reviews to adopt software best practices and maintain technical documentation for system features
• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA engineers to deliver functional updates

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc), or equivalent bootcamp / self-taught technical background
• 0 to 2 years of professional software development experience (includes full-time roles, internships, co-ops, or substantial academic projects)

Skills

• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language such as C#, JavaScript / TypeScript, or Python
• Basic understanding of frontend and/or backend web development fundamentals
• Exposure to version control platforms like Git
• Awareness or exposure to frameworks such as React, Node.js, or .NET
• Basic awareness of cloud services (AWS, Azure) and introductory knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps concepts
