Software Engineer

About the role

The Software Engineer will work within the data engineering team to design, build, and maintain scalable data products that empower business stakeholders to make data‑driven decisions. The role involves collaborating with cross‑functional groups, applying ELT techniques, and supporting AI/ML initiatives through robust data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and translate them into data‑product specifications.
• Develop a centralized data layer using ELT frameworks, preferably with DBT, to serve scalable data products.
• Transform raw or semi‑structured data into contextualized models on AWS‑based architectures.
• Partner with AI and ML teams to provide clean data foundations for internal intelligent tools.
• Write documented, tested, and reusable DBT code following DRY principles.
• Adhere to analytical lifecycle and quality standards to deliver accurate data on schedule.
• Innovate to accelerate delivery speed and improve decision‑making efficiency.
• Assist in tracking measurable outcomes and crafting analytical product plans for stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, Pharmaceutical Science, Engineering or related fields.
• 1–3 years of experience in analytical engineering, data modeling, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Familiarity with data‑engineering tools such as AWS, Airflow and visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI or Looker.
• Experience with version control (Git, SVN) and Agile development practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and presentation abilities.
