About the role

Maersk is hiring fresh graduates for an Associate Software Engineer position in Bangalore and Pune. The role focuses on building and maintaining software that supports vessel operations, improving performance, automation, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain applications for vessel operations.
Translate business needs into scalable software solutions.
Refactor legacy code to boost performance and reliability.
Standardize logging, error handling, and improve documentation.
Create internal tools and automate repetitive engineering tasks.
Support CI/CD pipeline enhancements and contribute to DevOps practices.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related fields (BE/B.Tech, B.Sc, MCA, M.Tech).
Freshers or up to 2 years of software development experience, including internships or academic projects.

Skills

Proficiency in at least one language such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Basic knowledge of SQL and Git.
Understanding of software development principles and Agile methodology.
Experience with code refactoring, process automation, and CI/CD fundamentals.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and dashboard/reporting tools.
