MLOps Engineer

About the role

Airbus is seeking a fresh graduate or early‑career professional to join its Advanced Analytics and AI team in Bangalore. The MLOps Engineer will help build, maintain, and scale a centralized ModelOps platform, bridging software engineering, DevOps, and machine‑learning operations to support both traditional and generative AI models.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate serverless micro‑services and REST APIs for model inference and platform tasks.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub or GitLab with Infrastructure‑as‑Code practices.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage the lifecycle of ML and generative AI models on native AWS services.
• Implement observability for model drift, latency, and performance metrics.
• Create and maintain Docker containers and related deployment scripts.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to enhance the ModelOps platform and automate workflows.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Data Science or a related quantitative field.
• 0‑2 years of hands‑on experience in software engineering, DevOps, MLOps, or cloud environments.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and quick learning aptitude.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on diverse tasks ranging from API development to ML pipeline tuning.

Skills

• Proficient in Python and FastAPI for building services.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, SageMaker, Bedrock, IAM, ECS, and API Gateway.
• Hands‑on with Docker, GitHub/GitLab, and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of Vue.js or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB databases.
• Understanding of AWS CDK for infrastructure‑as‑code.
