About the role

1% Club is hiring an SDE‑I Backend Engineer to build high‑throughput, low‑latency services for its wealth‑tech platform. The role is based in Bangalore and targets early‑career engineers with 0‑2 years of experience, focusing on Go development and product‑centric engineering.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain backend services using Go and, where needed, TypeScript.
Own end‑to‑end feature delivery, including coding, unit testing, debugging and documentation.
Collaborate with product managers, designers and senior engineers to translate user needs into reliable APIs.
Participate in architectural discussions and contribute ideas for performance and scalability.
Apply AI‑assisted tools to improve productivity while ensuring code quality.

Eligibility

0–2 years of professional or internship experience in backend software engineering.
Strong programming fundamentals and problem‑solving ability.
Interest in fintech and product‑driven development (preferred, not mandatory).

Skills

Proficiency in Go (Golang) – primary language.
Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript is a plus.
Understanding of API design, concurrency, testing and performance optimisation.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work in a fast‑paced startup environment.
