Airbus SE is a European multinational aerospace corporation. The group originated in 1970 as Airbus Industrie, a consortium founded to develop large commercial aircraft in competition with American manufacturers, and was reorganised as a single integrated company in the 2000s. It is registered in Leiden, Netherlands, with primary operational headquarters in Toulouse, France.
