About the role

Snowflake is hiring a Data Engineer Intern for its Pune office as part of its 2026 internship program. This is a paid, full-time internship designed for B.Tech and M.Tech students who are passionate about data, automation and AI-driven engineering.

Responsibilities

• Help design and build data pipelines, automations and validation logic that support real business processes.
• Work alongside world-class engineers on a system actually used by customers, learning how to leverage AI, machine learning and big-data techniques to cleanse, organize and transform data.
• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate needs into technical data solutions.
• Help maintain, defend and update data structures and integrity on an automated basis.

Eligibility

• Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university; B.Tech or M.Tech in progress.
• Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technology or a related field.
• Batch Year: Students graduating in 2026 or 2027 who are enrolled during the internship.

Skills

• Strong Python skills for data manipulation, automation and application development.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
• Preliminary exposure to big data technologies.
