About the role

Responsive is seeking a Software Engineer to join its core product team in Kolkata. The role focuses on building and enhancing a high‑performance SaaS platform that powers strategic response management for large enterprises. You will work on distributed systems, optimize performance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed components of the Responsive application, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for low‑latency query handling.
• Partner with product managers, frontend engineers, and UX designers across locations to create seamless user experiences.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, conduct research, and experiment to drive continuous innovation.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of professional experience in software design and development, particularly using Java.

Skills

• Proficiency in Java and related ecosystems.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and practical coding ability.
