About the role
GlobalFoundries is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to build and maintain web applications that enable critical semiconductor fab operations. The role involves creating scalable services with Spring Boot, crafting responsive front‑ends using Angular, and deploying containerised solutions on AWS infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, debug and implement Java‑SpringBoot and Angular applications supporting fab engineering tasks.
- Containerise applications with Docker and orchestrate them on AWS ECS, deploying to EC2 instances for high availability.
- Collaborate with fab stakeholders to translate requirements into predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions.
- Partner with the Manufacturing Data Domain group to build data pipelines for scalable analytics.
- Work with developers, DBAs, and engineers to add new functionality and resolve issues.
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support and troubleshooting for the applications.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (or Master’s degree with 1 year).
- Strong Java programming skills and solid understanding of relational databases.
- Proficiency in Angular, REST, Spring Boot, and database tools such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or Redshift.
- Experience using IntelliJ IDEA for development.
- Familiarity with business modelling in R or Python and exposure to semiconductor domains is a plus.
Skills
- Java, Spring Boot, Angular, RESTful services, SQL and relational databases.
- Docker containerisation and AWS cloud services (ECS, EC2).
- Version control with Git and build tools like Maven.
- Continuous integration pipelines using Jenkins and Nexus.
